Uzbekistan

My grandfather owned a leather factory what is now Romania. When the USSR took over and nationalized industries they sent him to a labor camp in Siberia and my dad and grandma to a labor camp in Uzbekistan. After working and picking cotton for years, they managed to escape using fake passports. While he was there, my dad's sister died at 18 and they never got to see her grave. 80 years later, we went back to try and help him find her, and pay his respects.
